What is Inkomstenbelasting?

Inkomstenbelasting is the term for income tax. In the Netherlands, as in Poland, it is a basic tax paid by all persons who earn a legal income in the Netherlands on the basis of an employment contract. The amount of inkomstenbelasting depends on the amount of the taxpayer's income. The higher the earnings, the higher the tax liability to be taken into account. Income tax in the Netherlands is subject to supervision by the Belastingdienst, the Dutch tax authority.
